I have been labeled "spam." I appealed the label but it has not been removed. Not sure what else I can do. I will go back to posting if the label is ever removed...

Map of ocean heat circulation

Map of ocean heat circulation

This map shows how the heat of the ocean destabilizes (and could melt) the Antarctic ice shelves.

It's 30 F at McMurdo right now, but this is summer in Antarctica. To tell you the truth, I feel more "lost" in a big city than I do on the ice!

Go look up the timezones for Antarctica and try to tell me this whole fucking thing isn't bullshit. The big time agenda has already won. Happy new year and fuck you I'm going to bed

Ribbons of clouds in the late evening sky, in the Artic, near Svalbard. It was July, so no night sky, the clouds provide the darkness. Rippled waters of the Greenland Sea fill the bottom third of the image.

The last #SkySunday shot for 2024 goes to Svalbard. Reminiscent of an image I made from Antarctica in 2023. #SilentSunday

I hope you are right.... Incompetence can still cause a lot of damage, both domestically and internationally. Malevolent individuals won't miss the opportunity to act as the US flails around ineffectively, first threatening to take over a canal, maybe annex Antarctica next, who knows....

A large seal reared up with front flippers clasped over belly, looking to the sky.

@bsky.app The good thing about Blue Sky is that I can make a post calling Antarctica a continent and not get death threats from flat earthers who demand that it be called an "ice wall" blocking us from Valhalla or some sort of floating island.

Perhaps Hay is the flattest place on the Earth with a sick Chinese restaurant. Take that Antarctica!

Tomorrow is the last full day in Antarctica.

It may be a blessing: the snow floor in the tent started out flat & now it's a compacted canyon in the middle that's spreading outward. My tentmate & I have been migrating to opposite ends.

Humans are able to travel more than 500 kilometers into Antarctica A Dec. 13 Facebook post (direct link, archive link) shows a picture of a research vessel positioned near a tall, sheer-faced ice shelf and makes a series of claims about Antarctica.
