We need to push regulators to update rules for bike lanes and roadways. The fact that those updates are lacking at the moment should not be a reason to slow the adoption of vehicles that can significantly lessen the impact on air quality, congestion, and pedestrian (cyclists included) safety.

lol... they're fine. The investment they are spending money on will set them up bigger than ever in the future. Short term spending for long term gains.

Company: We didn't quite reach an arbitrary financial goal that we set for ourselves a while ago (before tariffs and EV credit dissolutions were announced), primarily because we're investing bigger for the long run.

Yes, I do hope they make it over their challenges. I certainly know it's not guaranteed. I even had a reservation on an Elio.

It's a huge difference in up-front spending. Tesla and Rivian spent far more in the beginning, meaning progress moved faster with larger teams and more equipment. Aptera is a much smaller operation.

Rivian spent over $6 Billion before delivering their first R1T. Aptera has spent under $200 Million.

When I placed my reservation in the early days, I knew the premium trim would be first. It's been widely publicized for a very long time. I wouldn't call that a bait-and-switch.

That's kinda the whole point. They are still on track for the $45,000 "base price". They don't need to "save face".

For most of us who placed early reservations for the R2, we've been well aware that the launch of the R2 will be above the $45,000 base price, followed by more affordable trims later on. That's pretty much standard practice for the launch of new models. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I'm not against throwing shade at the musky man, but we need to make sure it's accurate or it will backfire.
