Smug working on a new mural for Glasgow
I enjoyed watching Smug working on this newest mural on Saturday morning just off the High Street in #Glasgow
A high-contrast, black and white street photography self-portrait captured with a Lumix GX9 and Leica 25mm lens at f/4.0 and 1/6 sec. The image utilizes a reflective effect, showing me standing centrally in Buchanan Street, Glasgow, layered over architectural details of tall buildings and shopfronts. To the right, a ghostly, translucent silhouette of a person wearing a beanie is visible. The composition is moody and textured, featuring heavy grain, light leaks, and a dreamlike quality that blends the human figures into the urban environment. Light reflects off wet pavement and glass surfaces, creating a complex, layered scene of urban life.

Headline of the Day.
Painting by Lee Madgwick of a floating tower block crumbling from the bottom in a flat landscape and stormy sky.
Painting by Lee Madgwick. An old remnant of a seaside resort under a moody sky. Three attached premises face the unseen sea from the promenade. Two deckchairs are positioned on the beach.
A painting by Lee Madgwick of a lone abandoned, partially boarded up ruin under storm clouds.
A painting by Lee Madgwick. A brutalist building with an exterior staircase. Birds fly by. ‘Hope’ is scrawled in graffiti at the top.
Hi #portfolioday I’m Lee, I’m a painter from England. I have a penchant for abandoned and derelict buildings - an unhealthy obsession that finds its way into my strange and unsettling universe.

Digital painting of a white-breasted nuthatch clinging to the right side of a smallish tree trunk. It is in profile facing down except it has its neck and head stretched so that it is gazing out the right side of the image. It is a small bird with black cap, white head, neck and belly with soft gray wings with a touch of light blue and highlighted by edges of black and white.
Don't know if painting with digital tools counts for the theme of #paint for today's #RepostYourArt, but I have enjoyed developing a more painterly style in the past few years. I still do simpler things as well, but it is fun to spend many hours getting immersed in the details on one like this.
Went on a walk and saw this cool ass graffiti. It’s done in sections and can only be seen completely when standing just so. Also, look at the halberd the tiger is holding by his tail!
Great to see them putting women right at the front of sport …
Delightful:
Lithuanian composer and conductor Mindaugas Piečaitis, directs his orchestra on the notes of Nora the cat playing the piano. She earns a standing ovation.

A lone figure walks on a sandy beach under a clear blue sky with a glittering sea and distant offshore wind turbines visible on the horizon.
Good day sunshine..
Somebody posted this on a Discord server I frequent. Possibly the most Edwardian feline gentleman I have ever seen.

This image shows a person sitting on a bench seat inside a train or subway car, holding a large, fluffy dog on their lap. The dog has a thick, light gray to tan coat with a darker face, and its tongue is hanging out as it appears happily panting. The person is wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. The dog's leash is visible, and the person's hand is gently holding it. The window by their side lets in natural light, and blurred passengers can be seen seated further along the train.

An Invention of Collective Nouns A reckoning of spreadsheets. A distraction of smartphones. A prattle of podcasts. A mispronunciation of scones. A clique of photographers. A heard of precedents. An enjambment of poets. A grope of presidents. A pile of haemorrhoids. A bunion of personal trainers. A bout of estimations. A condescension of mansplainers. A stroke of geniuses. A spot of adolescents. An embarrassment of Richards. A collection correction of pedants. Brian Bilston
Today’s poem is called ‘An Invention of Collective Nouns’.

Lived in a scrum and was tackled quite bad on a field
Nobody healed
Look at her running
Dodging concussions and people with cauliflower ears
What does she fear?
All the rugby people
Why do they play that sport?
All the rugby people
Why do they all get hurt? RS
Close-up of a Eurasian jackdaw perched among leafy branches with clusters of red-orange blossoms. The bird is shown in profile, its glossy black body contrasting with a pale grey nape and striking pale blue eye. Sunlight highlights the layered feathers on its back and wing, while the soft, blurred background of flowers and greenery adds a warm, colourful backdrop.
