A handwoven scarf - a white to black gradient has been used for the warp and a hand dyed black and white yarn has been used for the weft, giving it the appearance of stripes
Finally sat down and finished weaving this scarf - it’s using old, old stash yarn Stroll Gradient I bought in 2018 for the warp and hand dyed yarn from Lilliput from 2014(!) for the weft

Handmade sling bag back laying face up. It’s made from dark green canvas with leaves on it, accented by a yellow strap with leopards and pink and yellow zippers
The interior of a homemade sling back, showing off the fabric which has mischievous black cats getting into trouble in different planters
The back view of a homemade sling bag. The yellow strap has leopards running down the length and contrasts with the black canvas dotted fabric used for the back. The back pocket zipper is open, showing the lining with black cats.
New sewing FO, which hopefully will see use on my trip next week. The pattern is Kandou Pattern’s sling bag with assorted fabrics that I picked up in Cannon Beach recently.
I feel like bag making is so fun with all the different fabric combinations and notion choices.

Bald eagle in flight over a beach
Saw this bald eagle on the way to get coffee this morning. I’ve seen quite a few lately, but this was unusually close.
these are so cute!
This is so cute! I feel like it would be really nice for all the random pens and stuff I need to bring to work too.
Illustration of a cute stylized white bunny character wearing a pastel pink sweater and smiling while holding up a trans pride flag.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility! Whether you are out or not, just questioning, or somewhere in-between, you are valid and matter. Gender is a wonderful diverse spectrum and being ourselves makes the world a better brighter place. Support trans people on #TDOV and always. 🏳️⚧️
I’ve seen accounts of people who found beauty in learning to clean or cook because of how Ghibli portrays those acts and I think that’s also beautiful. Heck, how many folks started art because of Ghibli?
Be inspired to do the hard work, not the a/i bullshit
With the White House using OpenAi to make racist propaganda in studio ghibli art style there has never been apt scene in anime history:
"A computer can never be spiteful or horny Therefore a computer must never make art"

Watercolor painting of the Astoria bridge at sunset
Been inspired by a few different YouTubers (mostly evydraws) to pull out my watercolors again. I usually draw digitally so the feeling of watercolors is intoxicating
I painted this from a photo I took in Astoria last year. There’s things I wish I did better, but it’s good to be practicing again
Four cheerful prints showing two bunnies in different scenes around their home
Prints from @oddrabbits.bsky.social , need to buy some frames then they’ll be joining the collection of bunny art on my bedroom wall

Tortie cat sitting on a paper sewing pattern piece, clearly in the way
She’s insisting on helping cut out fabric for a coat.
It’s cute up until she starts trying to eat the pins
Playing with the Siser Juliet I got for Christmas to make a stencil for a mug I made in pottery class. Definitely a bit of a learning curve but I’m fairly happy with it for a first go

Modern baby quilt in pinks, yellows, and blues
Front and back side of a baby quilt, showing off the pink fruits on the back
Finished Trellis Quilt, which I scaled down to be crib sized. It’s fairly scrappy (my preference for baby quilts), so I tried to be intentional with the quilting to keep it from seeming too busy.
Pattern is by Quiltachusetts and fabric is mostly Ruby Star Society

Starting to quilt this baby quilt - I’m still undecided on how to quilt the background, but I’ve got a lot of petals to get through first

I just winged it!
I used iron on heat transfer paper. (www.amazon.com/dp/B08G7XYGV4) I like the embroidery on yours though, it's very cheerful!
Made a holder for my circular knitting needles - they were in a binder before, but I think this will be easier to check whether I have something or put them away. Plus is was the perfect use for this yarn & cats fabric!
