A macro photo of a small fly inside a yellow flower. The fly, which is pale colored and has vivid, almost day-glo green eyes, is facing mostly forward. A close look reveals that it is holding a clear droplet of nectar in its mouth, almost as big as one of its eyes. Many flies and bees hold droplets out in the air like this, to help evaporate some of the water and concentrate the nectar.
