One benefit of sewing is adding pockets everywhere. Let's show some of your best makes with pockets.

I had mine for 8 years or so. I upgrade when I had to sew masks for everyone I knew.
The thread tension was all over the place. But before that she did the job just fine.
Clearly these people never watched any video of Bernadette Banner.
I'm split on this one. I can work with both. But I'm very annoyed, when I can't find the information if it is included or how much seam allowance is included. Why can't people just print that information on the pattern pieces? or at least clearly stated in the instructions?
#SewAndTell Week 30 - Sewing Hot Takes 🔥
Since I'm late again 😅
Let's do some Hot Takes.
Mine is:
It's ok to start sewing with a cheap machine. A good machine is quite an investment when you're not sure if you will stick with the new hobby.
I'm not sure how common the term is in English. I just directly translated it. It's a sort of bone shaped reading pillow.
A reading bone made from a white cotton with a large sunflower print. The reading bone is on an Armchair and a book is leaning against the reading bone. The book is a german version of "The little Prince"
So, what are your hand sewn projects?
Do you sew the whole thing by hand or do you just sew up the occasional finishing detail by hand.
By the way #knitting and #crochet projects, that involve hand sewing are absolutely fair game for this #SewAndTell prompt.

Sorry everyone. The last week was very busy and #SewAndTell totally slipped my mind.
So a bit late ... 🙈

I'm the first one to admit, I prefer using my sewing machine, but sometimes that's just not an option.

Some projects just take longer.
Finding the right pattern, the perfect fabric, cutting, sewing, seam ripping 😅, sewing again ...
So, I would like to make sewing plans a recurring prompt (maybe every two month). What do you think?

A circle of pink-purple crochet roses. Each rose has a label attached. The labels are in the middle of the circle. On the label is a purple hand print and they say: Stop Gender Based Violence #RosesAgainstViolence

Thanks. It's corduroy with a bit of stretch.
I just thought about replacing my coat, with a selfmade one. Seeing your coat, this pattern is a strong contender.

I'm a bit in a winter blues. So, let's do a Winter theme.
This is a dress I made for my mom years ago. It's her preferred winter dress style.

I posted these before, but #ShowMeYourKnits wants Animals this week. So here they are all together.

Reposting this one for this weeks #SewAndTell theme (green), since it doesn't get more aromantic than a literal Aro Dress.

The image features a wide, graphically designed poster. At the top left is the round “Aspec*German” logo in black, gray, white, green, and light green, next to the date range “15.02.26 – 21.02.26”. In the center is the large title “A*TELIER PROMPTS”. Below it, the weekdays are listed in two columns: • Left: “SU: EMOTIONAL SUPPORT BUDDIE”, “MO: ARO – CRAFT” (highlighted in green), “TU: AROMATIC POTIONS”, “WE: COMFORT PLACES” (green). • Right: “TH: SPRING FEELINGS: ARO EDITION”, “FR: WICKED WITCH!” (green), “SA: SUNSET”. At the bottom left is “@ASPEC*GERMAN”. To the right bottom sits a stylized green frog figure with pink cheeks, forming a light heart with its hands, sitting on a surface. The entire poster is framed by vertical and horizontal strips in black, white, and various greens.

After seeing some lovely statement pieces last week, let's don't forget about the Basics.
🧵
I practically live in turtlenecks in winter. So it was about time to make them myself.

It's off course Week 24 not 4 🙈
I guess most of our old curtains ended up in my mom's fabric stash.
Thanks.
I was lucky to find them. It's almost as if they were made for this fabric and project.
A very colourful dress sirt on a taylor's dummy. The fabric has a bold and chaotic somewhat geometric print. It is oversized and has a peter pan collar. Pattern: https://store.mademoiselle-opossum.de/product/oversize-bluse-rosa/ (I changed some details ) (it's in german but the instructions have lots of pictures)
