I know it is for me too 😔
This could be the last week for this hashtag 🙁. #TulipTuesday
An English Bluebell with multiple ‘bells’
Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, we present to you the Queen of English Bluebells
Though it’s nothing compared to one climbing over one of our resident’s house 🥴
Please ignore all negative articles in the media and people blocking infrastructure, we need to put the foot down on renewables if we want a greener future.
🌱 Love this time of year 🌱
Three Red tulips with orange edges, possibly ballerina, in a grey stone oval pot on a step. Behind are purple and white heather in a rockery. Antique brown sinks with chives and other herbs. Privet hedge and small greenhouse in the background.
#nature #gardening these tulips are fierce.
When it inevitably becomes about immigrants.
Red and yellow tulip I'm sunshine but still dazzling with raindrops from the last shower, young lupin foliage behind
Enjoying tulip (and daffodil) season a lot this year, last spring was hot dry and sunny and although that made everything look quite spectacular it was also over and done with far too quickly, we're getting more of a gradual succession this time

Today’s Government proposals could be a turning point - shifting the focus from how we generate power to how we use it.
Because the reality is clear: energy security and permanently low bills come from electrification. ⚡🇬🇧
As your seedlings germinate and start to grow, it’s worth getting ready to potentially pot them on to larger pots.
Here is a short video I made demonstrating how to do this:

Closeup of a purple passion flower. The flower has multiple layers. Working from bottom to top, The bottom most layer consists of purple petals and purple sepals which look similar, but the sepals have a more rounded tip while the petals have a sharper tip. There are five petals and five sepals which alternate (petal, sepal, petal, sepal, etc). The next layer is the corona which contains thin, squiggly radial filaments, also purple that go from a dark purple in the center of the flower to pale purple at the end of the filaments. Out of the center of the flower rises the ovary from which five pale yellow anthers that look like narrow coffee beans grow. On top of that layer are three stigmas, a pale blend of pale yellow and lavender. There is one unopened passion flower at the top of the image. The background are green leaves.

I was surprised (but delighted) to see this perennial cornflower (Centaurea montana) in Wisley’s Hilltop Wildlife garden on Sunday. It seems very early.

This is great news
A glaucous grey/blue echeveria plant with a dense rosette of succulent type leaves and a slowly developing flower stalk
This echeveria is flowering, it isn't moving fast though, it's been working on that flower spike for at least a month. Not that I'm impatient or anything 🌱🌵

Had my first rose in the garden this year, Madame Alfred Carriere, a climbing rose that doesn’t mind some shade, and smells incredible! #GardensHour 🌱
It’s the fact the garden is fully waking up that’s giving me the most joy. Whether it’s trees, shrubs and grass seed germination, there’s so much new growth right now. #GardensHour
