Getting ready to plant my Roma tomato plants
Chitting refers to cutting the tubers so that each piece has at least one eye (growth point) and a chunk of tuber This produces more potatoes as well as giving me the opportunity to check for bad spots like this which would have caused the potato to rot in the ground and not grow These will need to dry for at least a day and then they'll be ready to plant

Decided to pivot plans, put the dahlias into grow bags & just use one raised bed for cut flowers
I'm sure I'm forgetting something I want to grow so I'm trying to work backwards from what I want to put up🤔

Beautiful day to finish seeding for this spring: aubergines, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers.
Carrots and both types of tomatoes, seeded earlier, are already coming through. Hilled the potatoes for the second time.

Next year I won't grow broccoli in the same seedling tray as cabbage. I dropped the tray and all the plants got mixed up 🙃.
