Der Gemeinschaftsgarten richtet sich an private Gruppen, Schulen, Kitas und Vereine, die dort zusammen gärtnern können. Das/Neubauprojekt für Gartenparzellen wurde von der Bezirksvertretung beschlossen.

An der feierlichen Eröffnung gestern Mittag nahmen auch Anne Roth (Grüne) und Henning Meier (SPD), beide Mitglied der Bezirksvertretung, teil.

The Japanese mugword and chives are growing strongly near the tall nashi pear on the cat-net-lined balcony in the full sun.

The sansho pepper has had a big hair cut, but I think it likes it with all its new little leaflets. Its pot is still covered in its winter straw and sitting against the white balcony wall, lined with cat net.

April's garden update now up for patrons, where I chat about this weekend's plans, and wonder how others deal with plant deaths - do you shrug and move on? Replace it immediately? Or take some time?

My blueberry bush is in the ground. The hosta from last year is putting out new leaves. I transferred sodden slimy dirt from waterlogged pots to the base of the new deck footings. Also fertilized & turned the dirt in 2 raised beds.

The only two peppers with the slightest heat are a Burpees Poblano named 'Big Boss Man' (ordered as a plant not from seed) and this habañero from Territorial seeds 'Mild Thing'. #VegetableGardening #UrbanGardening #Zone5A #gardening
