A photo of the reflection of Manchester Central Library in a large puddle. The building is a neoclassical rotunda inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The cream bricked building has a circular design with a top level of romanesque columns.

A photo of a tiny 1 inch red metal model of spiderman stood in a puddle yesterday at China Lane Manchester. The low close up angle of the model hopefully makes him appear larger.( not to sure) All around are tall brown brick buildings that are reflected in the puddle as well as spidey's refection. I used my Samsung phone on portrait mode held upside down to get the lens closer to the water. Edited slightly in Snapseed

A view at dusk of Victoria Street towards West Bow in Edinburgh, Scotland, a popular and historic street known for its curved shape and colourful storefronts. The view is looking down on the street from Victoria Terrace which runs above Victoria Street. It captures the street scene at dusk on a clear November evening. The scene is lit up by lighting inside and outside of the buildings. The cobbled street is busy with people enjoying the view or congregating near some of the shops. There are many chimney pots on the top of the buildings and they stand out against the clear blue early twilight sky. There is an orange glow on the horizon from the setting sun. The street is located in the Old Town of Edinburgh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our black-and-white photograph taken along a quiet riverside path. In the foreground, very close to the left edge of the image, there is a tree trunk wrapped tightly in a dense tangle of bare, twisting vines. The vines coil and overlap in all directions, creating a rough, almost chaotic texture. The bark of the tree is visible beneath them, adding to the layered, tactile feel. Moving toward the right, the scene opens up into a narrow dirt path that runs alongside a calm river. The path stretches into the distance, gently curving and becoming softer and less distinct as it recedes. The ground appears slightly uneven, with patches of grass and earth. On the far side of the path and river, there are leafless trees spaced out along the bank. Their thin, branching limbs reach upward and outward like delicate silhouettes against the sky. The sky itself is overcast, filled with soft, grey clouds that give the entire image a cool, subdued tone. The focus of the image is sharp on the tangled vines in the foreground, while the path, river, and distant trees are slightly blurred, creating a sense of depth. The overall feeling is quiet, a little somber, and reflective, like a still moment on a cold day. Finally, our picture is finished with a simple, white border frame.

Part of my Getting Back To Basics project making images the way I used to in the 1970s and 80s. In this case I used my 24mm purchased in the early 1980s. It was submerged in Georgian Bay and dried out in an oven in 1985.

A photo of a wall in the backstreets of the Northern Quarter Manchester yesterday. The graffitied wall has random tags, a section of square tiles with various stickers, a white rabbit, a rocket and a poster of a man with a train across his eyes. Above in large capital letters is the word 'BUMBAG' I'm not sure if that's art or not but who knows?
A black and white, high-contrast street photograph featuring the Midsteeple, an historic stone building with a prominent clock tower in Dumfries. The image is framed by dark, vertical architectural elements in the foreground, creating a "frame within a frame" effect that includes subtle reflections. The Midsteeple dominates the center, showcasing its dark masonry, a white-faced clock showing approximately five past eleven, and a weather vane atop its spire. Below the tower, an ornate outdoor stone staircase with black iron railings leads to an upper entrance. Two people are walking across the cobblestone square in the foreground: one person on the left is in mid-stride wearing a dark jacket, and another person on the right is walking toward the camera wearing a quilted jacket and carrying a bag. The lighting is bright and directional, casting long, sharp shadows across the ground and highlighting the textures of the stone and the clouds in the sky.

An old man walking along a back street. The man wears a suit, is slightly stooped, balding with silver hair. He seems to carry a great weight but retains his dignity. To his right are the backs of buildings, a telephone pole with wires extending across the sky. Sky contains high wispy clouds.

A handsome dark-eyed junco perched on a rotting wooden fence painted pale green. His body is facing away from the camera but his head is turned to the left. There are green leaves with a bit of yellow and blue blurred in the background.
My little buddy Arthur Junco on our very old back fence. He and his wife Gertie (previously posted with fluffs in her beak) seem to have a nest somewhere near the wall in our yard under plants.
