It's not ventured very far then, obviously likes Kingsmill ๐Ÿ˜†

Ah, an old stomping ground! Do you know where that bird was ringed?

Perfect, thanks for confirming

Another fine morning #birdringing (under licence) in Cambridgeshire with a modest catch, but summer migrants aplenty and breeding birds very active - nice to find a Long-tailed Tit nest ๐Ÿ“ท

Really was, took a lot of photos. Puzzlewood apparently inspired Tolkien for LoTR and a filming location for e.g. Star Wars. But such an awesome place to see mossy rocks and ferns in gullies, whilst gazing up at ancient trees

Some pictures of #Puzzlewood on a family afternoon in the Forest of Dean. Ancient Woodland and temperate rainforest, with some stunning viewpoints. Bonus Firecrests singing and a Swallow heard somewhere over

Another poor night's mothing #teammoth, with just 3/3 despite promising conditions. However, this Brindled beauty was NFG so I'll take the quality over quantity!

Thanks Owen, was certainly in and out of the nettles. Within range, so will look that species up. Initially thought of Hairy-footed Flower Bee, but appeared too large

Thanks David, I had initially considered HfFB but reading Owen's response, it might not be. Certainly not a Mole!

Can anyone help me with the identification of this #bumblebee? Large and all dark, photo taken in Kent, cropped in.

Lovely morning #birdringing (under licence) before work, a mixture of late winter visitors and early summer migrants #cambsbirds

Very true, I'll enjoy the relaxed mornings!

Oh! It's possibly still in the shed, if you're interested ๐Ÿ˜†

Well that's me up to four species for the year, here in Fenland, with this 'Hemlock moth' in the shed. Mothing in spring is always slow to get going here ๐Ÿซค #teammoth

You've answered my next question ๐Ÿ˜†

And we're off #teammoth. 1/1 last night, but I'll take it as I don't usually trap anything until late March

Indeed. Unfortunately viewing is awful from the roadside and I could hear other geese about. No doubt there will be a Bean in there later ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm not expecting anything, but why not #teammoth

I'm quite old school, so I still get a buzz from seeing a Great White Egret, even more so when it's on the patch. One in fields just east of Mill Hill Garage (March) this morning. #cambsbirds #ukbirding

Unbelievable. I've spent four days looking for geese locally and the first day I'm out without bins and these flyover. Mostly PFG but suspect, based on calls heard, at least one other species in the flock too ๐Ÿคฆ
