Today's #mtgtrivia question:

Borborygmos is a legendary creature in Guildpact. But his name is also an English word. What does it mean?

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:

The Dark. It was the original home to both Elves of Deep Shadow and Dark Heart of the Wood, both reprints in Ravnica.

Ravnica had two (non-basic land) reprints that originally appeared in the same set. What set was it?

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:

I messed up, so there is no answer. I had intended the answer to be Copy Enchantment, but forgot about the "except it's an enchantment rider". Sorry. I loved Copy Artifact and was surprised we never made Copy Enchantment, so I made it.

Today's #mtgtrivia question:

There's a card is Ravnica that has the exact same name and text as a card in Alpha (well, the Oracle text) except one word on the card is changed twice to another word. What card am I talking about?

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:

Doubling Season. I needed a monogreen card that would work with Selesnya's creature tokens and Golgari's counters, and, well, I really like doubling things. It just seemed like the perfect place to make my dream doubling card. Luckily, I was not alone.

Today's #mtgtrivia question:

Every once in a while a designer gets to design what I call "a personal design" something they're making because they just want it to exist as a card. What was my personal design in original Ravnica?

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia questions:

There are two answers, the Hunted cycle (creatures that create creature tokens for your opponent) and the common aura cycle with enters effects.

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:

Hex was #1 (purposefully six words long) and Helldozer was #2 (I wrote it as a joke, mimicking a trailer voice over, not thinking it would be used).

Today's #mtgtrivia question:

Who was the protagonist of the original Ravnica novel? (Hint: They have a card in the set.)

Answer to yesterday's #mtgtrivia question:

The subname "City of Guilds" was added. Both Brady Dommermuth, the creative lead, and I felt the extra name wasn't necessary, that the cards would sell the concept of the guilds. Then we both went on vacation during the same week.

One with Nothing. Brain Tinsman designed the card to spark conversations, and oh, how it did, especially in R&D.
