The subname "City of Guilds" was added. Both Brady Dommermuth, the creative lead, and I felt the extra name wasn't necessary, that the cards would sell the concept of the guilds. Then we both went on vacation during the same week.

I’m definitely not contending that this case is easy to understand; I’ve probably spent more time than is healthy trying to fix this exact issue. This is also a confusion kind of endemic to static abilities. Understanding why “Elf creatures have trample” stops working if a creature stops being an Elf, but “Target Elf creature gains trample” keeps working in that case (after it’s resolved) requires a strong knowledge of rules. #WotCstaff

Looks like I made an error in the #MTGStrixhaven release notes, specifically on Ambitious Augmenter. In the Anointed Procession case, both tokens should receive the counters, as indicated by CR 122.8. I’m working on getting the document corrected. Thanks to those who mentioned it! #wotcstaff
