A watercolour painted sitting on what is known as the Portsmouth Hard, a cobbled slope down to the sea close to the entry to the dockyard. This was among three paintings bought to hang in the Open University Arts Faculty a long time ago. The academic who arranged this has since died and I wonder if they are still there or maybe thrown out or left gathering dust in a store.

A watercolour from a visit back to Portsmouth in 1991: I did quite a lot of painting during that stay. Note the old gentleman on the left with his encampment of awnings and barrels. Managed to incude a couple of seagulls.
