Happy #RecordStoreDay to those who celebrate. Who's been to their local indie vinyl emporium already??

I'm having a conversation with the Royal Albert Hall about their merch stand for artists being in a completely wheelchair inaccessible area. If you've experienced this please reply or DM me, as more case studies would help my aim to get the area relocated! #access #disability

My aunt (his sister) thinks he's autistic. Obviously this doesn't make someone an arsehole, but he has had fun telling her she can't have a go at him because of his behaviour now.

I think he just has way too much pride and losing a smidge to an apology would be unbearable.

I've never heard my dad apologise to anyone in my whole life. That's not normal, is it?

I imagine it'd end up backfiring in the RW media "shock horror Muslim restaurant makes women sit in separate room" because they love misrepresenting things like that.

You're brave as f**k. When you talk about being on "autopilot" afterwards... I recognise that. I was raped in similar circumstances to you, and afterwards I showered, and we went out to an art gallery. Only a few days later did it start sinking in that "wait, that wasn't okay". Much love to you.

Why Are Bus Companies Still Discriminating Against Wheelchair Users? For a short while I felt like things might be improving – there was a period in late 2019/early 2020 where I noticed drivers on my frequent routes were more helpful when asked to intervene, b…

I finally wrote something else, and quelle surprise it's about buses and wheelchair access. Again. #disability #access #disabilityrights #disabledbloggers

The most galling thing about #chronicfatigue is when people say things like "I'd love to stay in bed all day!". Well I'd love to have a choice in the matter! I don't have "lazy days", I have days when I can't move from exhaustion. This isn't luxury it's a prison.

Over on the hellsite, trans quiz contestants are being mocked and slandered. I'm so grateful that the actual quiz community is inclusive and won't stand for bigotry. The berks who make such comments about quiz show players on TV seem to not realise that quiz is a non-gendered activity...

Finally finishing season 3 of #TedLasso tonight, needed something easy. I have to admit though, I'm finding Juno Temple a bit distracting despite trying never to focus on body size. She's so skinny, she reminds one of those little Italian Greyhounds.

I know what'll help the seasonal depression, writing my will
LOL

Seriously though, it's nearly the end of #FreeWillsMonth so if you don't have one in place, it's a good time to get yours sorted.

This #WorldMentalHealthDay maybe let's talk a bit about how Mental Illness isn't a Tik Tok trend. It's not and never has been fashionable. It ruins lives, families, dreams. Lots of us are only still here because we chose NOT to keep trying to fit in. #MentalHealthMatters

Happy Friday. I got 3 vaccines and fainted in the clinic. On the plus side, I am now allowed to go on holiday.

It should not feel scary to be Jewish in the UK in 2025.

I've spent the weekend recovering from Friday's excursion to London to see the Manic Street Preachers (or 2/3 of them) talk about their new book in London. Lots of bed, lots of pain, but utterly worth it for a great evening and a bonus unexpected hug from James #manicstreetpreachers

I just finished reading Hurricane Season and I am exhausted and feel like I need a shower. Some books just leave a mark on you. #Goodreads #BookSky

I can't sleep because I'm too busy thinking about how bad I am at normal human things like talking to other humans.

I think this is my least favourite thing about being neurodiverse: I know I am bad at communication, but I find it nearly impossible to change my manner of speaking/expressing/being.

I can't see their profile or message at all so maybe I'm blocked by them? I'm not entirely sure how BSky works with that still.

Partner and I have seen them 3 times together, tbh we have pretty similar taste in music. The only things he goes to with friends and not me is emo nostalgia stuff 😂

Aye, we're heading back to London for a few days for them. (I lived there most of my life, had to move out of the city when it came time to buy somewhere of my own because I am not rich lol)

Just split an entire glass of water over my laptop. People with terrible proprioception the world over are thanking Apple for making slightly-more-watertight products these days... #clumsy

You know what's nice about being a fan of a band like Belle & Sebastian? When you comment on their social media asking a question, they usually reply. Then their tour promoter replies to emails, and tries to find out access information. For one fan. That's a good band, there.

The same way you do any break up, one day at a time. Therapy would probably help? I guess you could also consider the positives you've gained from an otherwise lost decade - experience, resilience, your daughter!
