2026 Lyrids Meteor Shower: How to Plan and Photograph It The Lyrids meteor shower 2026 peaks April 22 with favorable moon conditions. Here's how to plan your location, timing, and camera settings for the best shots.

The Lyrids have been recorded for 2,700 years. In 2026, conditions are decent: dark skies after midnight on April 22, modest rates (10-15/hr), but bright meteors with a higher fireball rate than most minor showers. #Lyrids #NightSkyPhotography www.milkywayplanner.com/blog/lyrids-...

Racetrack Playa Milky Way - Death Valley National Park - Eric D. Brown

Racetrack Playa Milky Way - Death Valley National Park - Eric D. Brown

Drove two hours on a dirt road into Death Valley in February to shoot rocks at 2AM. Lighting is too harsh, and I'd process the Milky Way differently today, but it's still one of my favorite shots.

Two Speeds Every company is trying to keep the business running and figure out what AI changes — with the same teams and the same processes. Airtable's CEO split the company into fast-thinking and slow-thinking ...

Airtable split their teams into "fast-thinking" (weekly AI experiments, tolerate mess) and "slow-thinking" (durable infrastructure, precision).

Most companies try to run both through the same process.

Went to Crater Lake for the sunset colors. Wildfire smoke had other plans.

Converted to B&W and found this tree at the rim. One of my favorite frames I've taken, and I almost didn't stop here at all.

The Convergence Problem AI tools boost individual productivity but reduce collective originality. Research shows teams using the same AI platforms converge on the same ideas which is growing competitive risk.

Study: ChatGPT users generated more ideas AND felt less responsible for them. That correlation should concern anyone running an organization.

Spent a week chasing a comet along Lake Superior. Never got the shot. Last night of the trip, walked outside and noticed the Milky Way was right there the whole time. One of my favorite captures ever.

The Rituals of AI Adoption Organizations spend $109 billion performing AI adoption while 74% can't demonstrate value. Here's what the tribal dynamics, power shifts, and measurement theater reveal about why the rituals matter to...

For those that don't know, I write a newsletter at newsletter.ericbrown.com

It's about strategy, leadership, technology, and lots of other stuff that kind of 'fits' in that space.

I've been looking at AI adoption lately (haven't we all?). My most recent:
