Amazing day 1 of IPB Plant Biochemistry symposium 2026 , great lineup indeed! @ipbhalle.bsky.social
Starting off our symposium #IPB2026 is @luciastrader.bsky.social with recent insights from her lab on temperature regulation of #auxin signalling and also interesting approaches to shed light on plant transcription factors.
Changing gears and diving into #phosphorus: Matthew Pasek, as our second #IPB2026 speaker, really expands our view. Deep sea, other planets, lightning chemistry, biogeochemistry - fascinating perspectives that are rarely on our plant researchers' minds, but so interesting to see a bigger picture.
Next up is Matthew Pasek discussing where Phosphorus comes from
Kicking the symposium off, @luciastrader.bsky.social gives us a beautiful overview of her work on the molecule that is involved in almost everything ๐
Next, @structplantbio.bsky.social is sharing on inositol pyrophosphates' regulatory function and their implication in plant #phosphate homeostasis - with beautiful #structuralbiology. In addition, there's still a lot of plant InsPs and interactors and interactions out there. ๐ ฟ๏ธ๐ฑ #IPB2026
Before our lunch break, an amazing talk from Michael Horton on how plants sense phosphorus internally.
Let's go!!! The lecture hall is filling up and our Leibniz Plant Biochemistry Symposium is about to start. #plantsci #IPB2026
๐ฑ #PSSC2026 is coming to IPB Halle (10-12 June 2026).
Organized by our doctoral representatives, the student conference offers great talks, poster sessions, workshops & keynote lectures by invited international plant scientists.

New pre-print from the lab! We show that the subtilase SBT12a is essential for symbiosome stabilization in Medicago. Using HUNTER proteomics, we even got some of its substrates. Have a look.

Oxygen deprivation due to flooding brings many changes in plant physiology.
SNP2Prot hosted Dr Romy Schmidt-Schippers from Uni Bielefeld today. Her work demonstrated key proteins and cellular pathways that adapt upon flood induced hypoxia.

After two inspiring days with @crc1644.bsky.social, itโs clear how complementary our initiatives are.
Exited for future collaborations!
@dfg.de
Our work on the role of Ufmylation on ribosome quality control on the ER is out! Great work of two terrific first authors Milica and @alessandrick.bsky.social together with our wonderful collaborators, the one and only Dagdas lab @plantophagy.bsky.social!
The final day of our joint retreat with @crc1644.bsky.social starts with a talk by our invited speaker @alexanderforderer.bsky.social
Kick-off of our joint retreat of CRC1644 & @snp2prot.bsky.social We are excited and look forward to two inspiring days!
Preprinting means sharing an early version of your research, generally before journal-organised review. Many organisations are starting to offer and recognise peer-reviewed preprints.
But how can preprinting benefit you? Check out our 5 Fs of preprinting.

What is better than a CRC retreat? A retreat of two CRCs!
Welcome @crc1644.bsky.social to Halle!
We are exited for two days of getting to know each other and discovering new synergies.
Early kickโoff for the SNP2Prot Spring Retreat.
Ready to dive in! ๐ฑ
