Densely depicted for weed with flowers, buds, and galls. Normal buds are longer than they are wide while buds that appear as wide or wider than they are long are galled. Three halls are pointed out with arrows. Art by Happy AK.

One of my favorite activities while at #craft markets or #art shows is to find art of #fireweed, Chamerion angustifolium, and see if the artist unknowingly depicted a flower bud #gall induced by a midge, Dasineura epilobii. Here're some on a fabric print used for a headband by #HappyAK (see arrows).
