Eine Pelzbiene sitzt auf einer magentafarbenen Blüte. Der Körper der Pelzbiene ist dicht behaart und zeigt helle sowie dunkle Farbtöne. Die Blütenblätter sind kräftig magenta und bilden einen auffälligen Kontrast zum grünlich verschwommenen Hintergrund. Die Pelzbiene hält sich mit den Vorderbeinen an den Blüten fest und ihr Kopf ist in Richtung Blütenmitte geneigt.

2 of the palest blue, most delicate of flowers I saw in the woods this week. I don't know what they are but they carpeted the floor in parts of the woods. They have numerous long slender petals emanating from a bright lime green centre which has tiny slender white stamens curling outwards. A bee flying right near the purple flowers of a Mexican sage bush. The long, thin bundle of fuzzy flowers goes from the bottom right corner, curves up to the top, then dips back down. The background is blurred green leaves with a little bit of purple flowers.

The only bee shot I got that was not massively blurred the other day, and that includes perfectly still bees. I don't have a macro lens.

The photograph shows a butterfly from the Nymphalidae family, belonging to the genus Polygonia. Judging by the characteristic pattern and shape of its wings, it may be the C-album or the very similar C-aureum C-gold C-album. Appearance Description Coloration: The upperside of the wings has a bright ochre-red or orange background with a contrasting pattern of dark brown or black spots. A dark border runs along the outer edge of the wings. Wing Shape: The wing edges are heavily serrated and have deep "teeth," giving the butterfly the appearance of a dry leaf when its wings are folded. Dimensions: This is a medium-sized butterfly, with a wingspan typically ranging from 40 to 52 mm.

I have a bed of calendula that comes back year after year, that I turn into lotion, lip balm and calendula creme for after sun care.

Someone have bring some Bluebells in the parc behind my home. They don't grow in my country. But the Hallerforest in Belgium is famous for the many Bluebells. Sadly it is a bit to far drive for me on the moment with the high prices for the fuel ⛽️ 😕
