Das quadratische Bildformat wird ausgefüllt durch eine große, Tulpenblüte, die wie ein tiefer Pokal geöffnet ist, aufrecht steht und ganz leicht nach links weist. Ihre Grundfarbe ist ein cremiges Gelb. Darauf finden sich breite, signalrote flammenartige Zeichnungen. Der Griffel ist cremegelb, die Staubgefäße und die Basis der Blüte, die gerade noch erkennbar ist, schwarz. Die Blüte ist sonnenbeschienen und klar erkennbar - ihre feste, fast wachsartige Substanz lässt sich erahnen. Im Hintergrund sieht man Strukturen von Erde und Nachbarpflanzen. Das Blau von Vergissmeinnicht, das in der Bildecke links oben leuchtet, liefert einen wunderbaren Farbkontrast und belebt das ohne hin schon fröhlich wirkende Bild zusätzlich.

A pale pink chrysanthemum made up of many thin, soft petals packed tightly together. The petals curve slightly inward toward the center, creating a rounded, cushion-like shape. Each petal is a light pink with tiny speckles of darker pink, giving it a gentle, textured look. At the very center is a small, bright yellow disk. Im quadratischen Bild erkennt man eine offene große, rein gelbe Tulpenblüte. Es ist eine typische Darwin-Hybride die kleine, fast schwarze Flecken an der Basis der Blütenblätter aufweist. Die Staubgefäße sind auch schwärzlich, der Griffel ist gelblich. Die rundliche Schalenform ist etwas bewegt, weil ein Blütenblatt auf der linken Hälfte noch etwas aufrechter steht als alle anderen. Der diffuse Hintergrund lässt Knospen und Tulpenlaub erkennen. Die Tulpe strahlt, wird aber nicht durch ein Zuviel an Sonnenlicht überstrahlt.
