I knew more than one person who dropped masking with the excuse that they were still washing their hands really carefully, so "it was ok".
I still can't get over how they never updated guidance about COVID regarding hand washing. I get that people were weaponizing any change in direction with claims things were lies etc, but maintaining wrong guidance once you know it's not helpful is actually harmful.
I will never forget that in BC we decided to pretend none of this was happening or it didn't matter, rather than just fight for clean air in our schools. It's heart breaking and rage inducing.

Wow this is insane. The BBC posted a story yesterday with a supposed quote from an Iranian citizen saying he is okay with the US dropping an atomic bomb on Iran. After pushback, without public acknowledgment, they just changed the quote in the story to something completely different.
