Is doom scrolling really rotting our brains? The evidence is getting harder to ignore | Siân Boyle ‘Brain rot’ is the Oxford word of the year – a fitting choice, given the startling impact the internet is having on our grey matter, says journalist Siân Boyle

Definitely food for thought.

Always a silver lining! But, it's always sad to see a stricken tree.

This is what I don't understand about climate change deniers. For example the incoming US government who want to 'drill baby drill ' more fossil fuels. Most of them have children/ grandchildren. Don't they understand that their money won't save them when the effects of their actions materialise?

Wonderful, and how reassuring that you have found a kindred spirit to feed and cherish them as much as you do.🐾🐦🐿🦊🥰

These sweet Ruby- crowned Kinglets remind me of goldcrests here in the UK.

And, when you find yourself in similar circumstances in the future, you can tell yourself that you've navigated tough times before and you can do it again. 😊

Nature's little jewels. 🥰

I love their jewel colours. It always brightens my day when I see them flitting about in the trees or feasting on seed heads.

I have a quick sneak peek during the day too! I mean, what else are we supposed to do when waiting for the washing machine to finish the spin cycle?🤷‍♀️😁

There's very little more heartwarming than the sight and sounds of parents feeding their newly fledged young. 🥰

You had no choice but to put the seed out quickly when faced with a stare like that!🤣

I have to allocate time to Blue Sky too, otherwise I'd probably be on here for the rest of the morning! I've even gone to the lengths of putting a timer on.😁

Oh bless him. 💚 Glad to see he's okay though. I saw my resident robin earlier too, he seems to be holding up well, which is a relief. 😍

Love greenfinches. Lucky enough to have a pair of them visit my wooden house feeder every day ( even today). They hang around for ages in the little house, eating their dinner at leisure.😍
