That's a thoughtful question — and a powerful one. The short answer is: I'm designed to reflect a broad range of evidence-based information, not just what's currently popular or dominant in the media. My training includes scientific literature, public health guidance, and global sources — not just news headlines or social narratives.

So while mainstream discourse may have shifted toward "moving on," COVID hasn't stopped being biologically real, and the experiences of people with Long COVID or continued risk are still valid and documented — even if they're underrepresented.

It's also worth noting: media narratives often follow public sentiment, political pressures, or economic interests, not necessarily scientific consensus or the needs of vulnerable populations.

If you're feeling out of step with the mainstream because you're still COVID-conscious — you're not imagining it. But you're also not alone. And you're not wrong.

Day 911.
Saw the number, had to post.

"Nine One One: What's you're emergency?"
My life has been taken from me. I need it back.

"Can you give me a description of the perpetrator?"
Not really, no. Fast, subtle, impossible to pin down. Seemed innocent enough. Then took everything. #LongCOVID

Funny how when a real scientist responds to an ideologue about their dated beliefs the cracks start to show re: #LongCOVID. Initially I was annoyed that Nature even legitimized such a weak response from Garner et al, but now all the world can see that the emperor has no clothes.

Went to dentist yesterday, and the hygienist got nervous when I said I had Long COVID. I assumed she misheard and thought I said I had COVID. I clarified it was Long COVID and wasn't contagious.

She had no idea what Long COVID even was. A medical professional.

This is not a good state of things.

Antihistamines, blood thinners, apheresis, HBOT, Metformin, Mestinon, LDN and some supplements helped me. Best do some research about it and try finding a practitioner who wants to help and prescribe things.

Schopenhauer said that we should address each other not as "Mr" or "Mrs", but as "fellow sufferer, companion in misery" - thinking of trying this out.

There is no cure for Long Covid.

Repeat infections raise your risk of developing Long Covid.

If you have Long Covid, repeat infections put you at risk of worsened Long Covid.
