2x Spotted Redshanks at RSPB Worth Marshes this morning. One in full regalia (not that you can tell from these images - which look like Monet's impressionism!). #KentBirding @rspb.bsky.social @kentishplover.bsky.social
Female Northern Wheatear at Brands Hatch this afternoon - south of Druids Bend, near Southbank. Beware of one-way traffic moving 'quite fast' if you go looking for it in the morning... @kentishplover.bsky.social #KentBirding @brandshatch.bsky.social

Red-necked Grebe at dusk off Tankerton. Distant...one of the first times birding that I've had to worry about issues with the curvature of planet Earth (pic taken from up the shingle bank). @kentishplover.bsky.social #KentBirding @rarebirder.bsky.social

A fabulous photo Rachel of a very smart bird!
2w Iceland Gull at Worth Marshes this afternoon. Record shot as bird at a considerable distance..in poor light..in windy conditions..and any other excuses I can muster. @kentishplover.bsky.social @rarebirder.bsky.social #kentbirding #sbbot
I have no problems with the original shout - a striking bird. It was the second non GBHG i've set out for...seem to remember the first was a LBBG.
Last minute decision to go to Suffolk today... Got as far as Minsmere before news further north diverted us to the RSPB reserve. Siskin, a black Adder, lots of Marsh Harriers and a Little Stint were the highlights. Can't win 'em all. @suffolkbirdgroup.bsky.social @rarebirder.bsky.social #ukbirding
Well done Frank - a fabulous find!
