The 2025 duck hunting season has begun. We are deeply concerned for this season due to ongoing declines in eastern Australian waterbird populations.
We will continue to monitor wetlands and won’t give up our decades-long fight to end native duck hunting.

The 2025 duck hunting season in Victoria will be longer, with an increased daily kill limit. This comes after the Eastern Aust Waterbird Survey showed a 50% decrease in bird numbers compared to 2023.
