I am going to my first ice climbing trip to Cogne next week. I am seasoned climber but ice and mix climbing is a different story.
Any advice / recommendations I should consider?

Climbing Spain’s conglomerate is something different. In one hand your feet are aching so badly that you want to chop them off. In other hand these beautiful long rappels that feels like canyoning. And the sun! And wine! And tortilla! 🤗 Me gusta!

If you look well you can see old box/shelter on the ridge.

I do recommend! We have it only as a rescue/emergency bag (it’s tiny very light pack) and for general hikes use ruffwear harness with handle to lift and help doggo where needed. But I think it can work also as a active carry mechanism :)

If you are hiker or climber that enjoys adventures with furry friends ->safety in the mountains is important. We found this nice lift system for our doggo in case of any emergencies in the mountains. And he seems to enjoy airlift a lot 😅

Another alpine classic: Rébuffat-Baquet, a 200m climb to above the Aiguille du Midi terrace. A demanding granite route with stunning glacier views and surge of popularity from tourists on the Midi terrace as you rappel to exit. I felt famous haha!
