Are these "private" Israeli spyware companies - founded and run by former military officers - intelligence gathering operations for Israel? And, if so, are the gardaí (for example) allowing access to sensitive data by what is essentially a hostile state?

This is a tenement. Go up to Mountjoy Sq or around Blessington St and look up into the windows of the old georgian houses. Bunk beds everywhere. @dubcitycouncil.bsky.social have let this type of thing go on for years. They better go after this guy for a flagrant breach of the planning permission

In the 60s, the impetus to deal with slums was so great that families were being moved out of places like this into new council houses outside town before the electricity was connected up. Now, our leaders and managers having forgotten shame, there is no impetus left.

Micheál Martin and Simon Harris have made Ireland complicit in genocide and the illegal war with Iran. They brazenly lied when asked about Shannon Airport. This government needs to go.

Yes its truly fascinating
I've always found social history as interesting as archaeology
Love a good story
Love the who who, where, when, why etc
One thing I love hearing from older generation is their stories of times gone by the good bad and ugly not just a rose tinted version

Up for a 6am dawn chorus walk through the National Park in Killarney led by brilliant local ecologist Irene Ní Shúilleabháin - featuring an unexpected but massively welcome amount of focus on the impact of colonialism and capitalism on bird life and Irish ecosystems in general. Really powerful.

Happy #census26 day from Dunmanus Bay, #spéirghorm nerds!

(West Cork: where even the bits you haven’t really heard of look like this.)

This is good company to be part of in current global context. Hopefully EU Commission will have a damascene moment in relation to Israel.

Happy 50th birthday to "The Boys Are Back In Town" by Thin Lizzy!

"That chick who got up and she slapped Johnny's face" is probably in her seventies now.

nationalarchives.ie/collections/... The 1926 Census is keeping me occupied this morning! My grandparents were teenagers and younger still living in Clare & Mayo! Confirming Cork connections to Macroom too. Fascinating to explore! #speirgorm #spéirgorm

Census 1926. Dev’s form is correctly filled out by him in Irish but the digitised version has him living in his next door neighbour’s house while the rest of his family is in his own house! Amazed that the digitisation people didn’t spot that and get it right.

This section in the older census's was a shocker. At least its been removed by the 1926 one as far as i can see.
