Fruity Petals™ is a vibrant climbing rose from William J. Radler—yes, the Knock Out® guy—that fans your garden with ruffled blooms of coral fading into apricot and finished with a sunny yellow eye. It explodes in a heavy spring bloom and keeps going with repeat flushes all season. Grace Rose Farm

The St. Lucia Pewee (Contopus latirostris latirostris) is a small, endemic flycatcher, roughly 15 cm in length, found in the mountain forests of St. Lucia. It has a distinct cinnamon-tawny or peach-orange breast, sandy-brown upperparts, a slight crest, and a two-toned beak, often found perched low in forests and catching insects.

One of the cutest little birds I have come across. This was a great birding day on the island of St Lucia.

Blue-black Grosbeak

This is a chunky, dark songbird found in the humid lowlands of Central and South America, known for its deep blue-black male plumage and rich dark brown female, both with stout bills. A member of the cardinal family, it skulks in lush vegetation.

A small royal blue bird with a rusty red chest and sides and a white belly stands on a thin branch in profile facing the right. He is staring into the distance as though deep in thought while the late afternoon sun glints off his black eye.

David Austin’s The Lady Gardener® offers soft, apricot blooms in a quartered rosette form, each measuring around 4” across. She is a repeat bloomer with a relaxed petal structure and a gentle fragrance of tea and vanilla. Expect her to perform strongly in zones 5–11. This variety pairs well with both traditional and modern landscapes and does well in beds, borders, or hedges. The Lady Gardener also makes an excellent cut flower. Photo from Heirloom Roses.

Grey-and-Buff Woodpecker.
Male.

This is a species of bird in the family Picidae. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia (Sumatra and Borneo), Malaysia, southern Myanmar, and Thailand.

The head appears large because of the slender neck and the large, cone-shaped crest.

A pink peony blooms are large with double blooms with a gray and white long fur dog sniffing the bloom from underneath. These peonies are pass along plants from my family. It may be spring, but some fall vibes are still hanging around.
