At the 2025 Manitoba Fibre Festival, mom picked out a green with orange batt of wool with locks did me to spin and use towards a sweater. For her. She picked up some more neutral yarn to pair with it.
Here is the progress.

Squishy local Rambouillet all spun up. You could call it Cdn Merino. πŸ₯° I have about 248 m to work with. I love working with local wool! #Wool #Knitting #YarnSpinning

Finished last evening in time to keep me warm watching a second game at the pitch (since I'd forgotten to bring warm layers for the 8pm game)

Long day at a lake in the Whiteshell and a few more rows on the drive home before all light was lost.

A lot of solid wins this season. Delighted my pair got goals - having previously primarily played defense. Moving L to fwd was great move. Today she achieved both a hat-trick and a shut-out. That was fun.

Wrapping up my first season as head coach having wrapped my first season as a player. Yes I started backward. Rec is definitely another ball game. Plenty of learning and growth for all, including me.

I haven't had yogurt in a week at least - we're a yogurt and granola household- and there are at least 3 containers in this condition - not quite empty.
Kids! (I don't have to dirty a bowl today. Upside).

it's been one of those weeks where I really want to walk away but also where I've been reminded of the past disrespects. Hold up, I just remembered that the shoulder sweep works for me... that's better. F that B. Hold up, one more... k. Good for today.

And sometimes it means I have to watch something I helped develop fall apart... and still say "no".
Fortunately, none of these are things impacting anyone's survival.

These are often groups I'm still involved with in some way, so it can be hard to stay firm and say "not it!" and force someone else to step up. And sometimes it means x doesn't happen at all.
