I recently started a new job (not related to gamedev, but it involves graphics programming), so I'll have less time for #gamedev, but maybe the quality of it will improve because I won't have the stress of being unemployed. Who knows...

I love Double Commander for many things, but my favorite is that "unlock" button right there

Thanks @spiralganglion.com for the opportunity to show it, even in its current very WIP state :)

On this #WeirdWednesday I added a 'swap' command to spice things up:

The corruption depicted in "House of Cards" seems so... civilized, comparing it with the current united states...
The three most difficult problems in computer science are cache invalidation, naming things, and undo for puzzle games

I see the statement "I care more about game development than politics" as indicative of an impoverished mind, and also a bit stupid: the video game industry depends on policies that allow people to have free time and extra money to spend in games.
haha the player's shadow is dynamic but the crate's shadow is not :)

The Robots in Reconfigure can speak now! If you grew up with C64, Atari ST or Apple II you know the voice. #godot #gamedev

I'm experimenting with porting the generator from D to C (to make it more portable and standard, and to learn a bit myself) and discovered that the C version is roughly twice as fast than the D version. Either C compilers are more mature, or the port has many bugs :)
dangerous!!! I'll keep it in mind. Thanks!
I need more details please :)

Remember when Donald Trump said: 'I Could ... Shoot Somebody, And I Wouldn't Lose Any Voters' ?
He never intended to do it himself, obviously. Too much work. But his minions are more than happy to do it.
I don't agree with all of Jessie's tastes about Star Trek, but this video is a masterpiece.
Those who complain that the series has "become woke" seem not to have understood a single episode of their favorite series.

Thanks to my insightful playtesters (well, for now he's only one) I enhanced the level generator to avoid some frustrating situations in the game.
It's now 10x slower, but it generates much better levels.
Game design is tradeoffs all the way down :)

Number of puzzles per kind of crate I generated so far for my game.
The distribution is a bit weird, but perhaps it's a "natural" consequence of the way they interact.
72037 Normal
30549 Bone
17268 Radioactive
12897 Heavy
10650 Sticky
10221 Fragile

We don't need artificial intelligence; we need intelligent artifacts.
Excellent questions, and part of why I'm torn :)
this is so impressive

I'm a bit torn between two options: making the entire map before the player begins to play (like it's shown here) or let the player "create" the map, so to speak, only constructing a corridor and adding a new level each time (if possible) they open a door.
