Helena had a new meeting the other day!

Her writing exercise: write a new sentence said by each character. After that, write a sentence before and afterward by other characters. Once those three-sentence moments were made, then see if any of them fit her story.

It's cool to see a playwright grow in confidence. Last time, she didn't feel as satisfied with her writing as she wished...but this time, she felt like she better hit her goals and was also finding new excitement in her writing. Great to see it! 🤘

It's confusing to put a visceral idea on paper, and then not feel the same way about it later! She hit that obstacle yesterday, so we explored many surrounding aspects to help her upcoming rewrites!

Been meaning to try Sea of Stars!

Same development team also made The Messenger -- one of my favorite platformers in recent years, nailing narrative focus + skillful gameplay a la Celeste. Haven't done an RPG in awhile, but Sea of Stars will probably be my next one when I buy one again.

Question of the day: what makes a good #theatre #writingprompt?

My first thought: have the dialogue start in the middle of a conversation. If people are already talking, you can blast past the pleasantries and get right into more exciting elements of the relationship.
