Suivi 2021-2026 des dates d'observations (en quantième) de la première larve d'Aedes albopictus sur le terrain dans le département de l'Hérault (Données Altopictus). Toutes les observations avaient eu lieu vers la 2ème semaine de mars jusqu'en 2025, à comparer au 26/02 en 2026.
Record de précocité pour la fin de la diapause du #moustiquetigre 🦟 : Première larve L1 d'Aedes albopictus trouvée dans un vase funéraire à Pérols le 26 février 2026 (Hérault 🇫🇷), là où avait été trouvée la 1ère larve en 2025, le 17/03/205, un écart de presque 3 semaines entre les 2 années !

Graphic: Annual mean temperature difference (∆T) between areas covered 100% by urban vegetation and areas covered 100% by built-up surfaces, for 3 types of urban vegetation (trees, grasslands, croplands) and for 4 environments (tropical, temperate, boreal, arid)
Clues for cooling our cities:
Urban trees, urban grasslands & urban crops cool cities in most environments (negative values), except in arid conditions where only trees are effective. Shrubs likely behave as trees, I guess.
