As for bands.. it so depends on mood…. As a jazz lover (as opposed to when I’m in other moods), EST were consistently brilliant and might be in third place…..
Me? I’m into many things….
I expect to learn interesting things… :)
Today, as I near the end of my second reading of David Abram's ‘Spell of the Sensuous’, I will listen:
to the wind
to trees
to the movement of clouds
to the the food I eat and the body I eat it with.

I’ve been soaking some dandelions I harvested from my garden for the last couple of weeks. I will make ink from them this week I think!

Scrap of handmade paper with a sample of oak gall ink on it.
Oak Gall is an ancient ingredient for ink - the earliest recorded recipes were by Pliny the Elder. For 1500 years it was the standard ink in Europe.
This is my version - mixed with iron to make a gorgeous purple-black.

Today I'm exploring how my new Fanad Inks work with each other & on different papers.
Discovery: the Red Cabbage & Alum Ink - which is very purple - turns blue on some papers but not on others.
I love how the colours sit together on the page…..
