Testing Ironstone pebbles from Yorkshire, England. After gently scraping the rocks they reveal a lovely soft caramel pigment. Ironstone has been Identified in prehistoric cave paintings! I'm so grateful to have this in the collection!

Quilt top 1 is finally finished. All dyes and pigments were extract from plants, the yarn, the fabric, the printing ink. I grew and harvested the seeds. And beads all came from a variety of places in West Africa.
