I’ve been experimenting with bundle dyeing using natural dyes just recently. These are the four main colour ways I have come up with so far and, whilst I like them all, I think the autumnal browns and orange are my favourite. Which is yours?

Sunday Potager Ramblings #77 This week is all about spring and Easter... what are you all doing for Easter next weekend? I hope you spend it with family and friends. Although Easter is my second favourite holiday (after Thanksgiving), I am doing nothing this year. Have told the family that I am out, not participating... but I am kind of sad about it. Turns out that hubby is not at home for Easter this year so I decided to start on a new anti-inflammatory diet while he is away.

Super unassuming peeking out of the duff. They initially looked like they might be another species going bad. It isn't until I felt the firmness of their cap that I realized they were fresh.

Another grouping of the same fungus species found nearby with one upended to display the tooth underside.

Dyers Delight!!

I believe these are Hydnellum fuscoindicum, or the Violet Hedgehog.

Tooth fungus are some of my favorite to find, this was the first time I've found this species.
