An oldie, but probably my favourite Milky Way shot that I’ve taken.

This is our beautiful home galaxy over a frozen loch.

A tranquil woodland scene on the grounds of the former Bessboro mother and baby home: a moss-covered fallen tree arches low across the frame, surrounded by slender, leafing branches. The forest floor is carpeted with vibrant green moss, ferns, and clusters of delicate purple-blue wildflowers, likely bluebells, creating a soft, almost luminous contrast against the earthy browns. Sunlight filters through the canopy, dappling the scene with warm highlights, lending a sense of quiet beauty and stillness to a place with a notorious history.
