This warbler has a white belly, neck, face, and undertail coverts marked with a black moustache and eyeline, a yellow cap, grey-brown wings with two white bars, and a distinctive deep russet brown streak along the sides of its breast from the end of its moustache almost to its tail. It is perched on an angle from bottom left toward top right, along a thick rough tree trunk, with a thick branch angled in nearly the same angle above it. Blue sky and green blurred leaves in the background.
