Motherfucking wind farms…
This encounter was too close to me for the lens to focus, but it was nice to compare the Queen with one of our local Comma butterflies.
La Reina!
We had a regal visitor today, when Megan found a spectacular Queen of Spain Fritillary just outside our garden! Not sure when the last Norfolk record was but it's a wonderfully rare visitor for our little patch.
Very pleased to find this cracking male Marsh Warbler on my Costessey patch earlier this month. A singing adult male, present for a week on private land. Some superb mimicry, and the last thing I expected on my 20+ miles inland Norfolk patch! Patch gold #norfolkbirding

Norfolk County Council's NWL road project is on hold—too little, too late. Years of warnings ignored, millions wasted, and now they blame bats. Time for resignations and real accountability for this catastrophic mismanagement. Stop the shambles. #NorwichWesternLink #Accountability
You obviously got my one by mistake!
Hi, that’s fine by me! Thanks
Osprey lingering on a local lake this morning. Think it’s the first time I’ve seen one in November?! #Norfolkbirding

Small Mottled Willow
Not the hoped for Euchromius ocellea, but 3 Small Mottled Willow was notable bearing in mind the single previous garden record! #TeamMoth
First post here and this seems worthy: Clifden Nonpareil in the trap last night. Now established in Norfolk
