First time out with my camera in a while yesterday and was delighted to see some gorgeous Common Redstarts. This male perched beautifully in among the gorse bushes for a few moments 🧡 📷 🪶

Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Petals&Perches - a bird with flowers in the capture.

An osprey flaps its wings and lifts itself out of the water where it just dove to catch a fish for its morning meal. The air around the osprey is filled with tiny water dropets that are highlighted by the morning sunlight.

One of my favorite osprey photos are when the bird is flapping its wings and pulling itself out of the water, causing tiny droplets to surround the bird and be highlighted in the morning light.

A large, dense flock of mallard ducks (and one american black duck) fill the air as they explode into flight.
