If you're into footy and Manchester post-punk music, you'll understand why the 'Panic on the Streets of London' banner at City just now is so brilliant.

A small reddish insect at the end of a hairy green leaf.
Look amoungst the many thousands of St Mark's Flies around Rye and there are smaller numbers of what appear to be a 'mini' versions of the insect. These are the males of the related Bibio anglicus. The females, pictured, look quite different, being red, not black.

2. 'BPPV' - almost unlistenable M.E. Smith slur-rant.

Cutting bus services (including now NO Sunday service to Rye Harbour, with residents and 1,000s of visitors) is a local e.g. of how we have NO idea how to tackle poverty, climate change, pollution, safety and can't nurture anything that is GOOD in society. I feel anger and despair in equal measure.
...this is surely the bird seen on 19 March, I think just for the day. I don't know the finder.
