A younger plant, flowers more purple with white bases, only a few so far separated from the rounded clump of buds, hyacinth-like in form
Went looking for orchids, found broomrapes. Common Broomrape, Orobanche minor, parasitic on pea family and other hosts book says. There were lots, quite widely varied in appearance. Nashenden bridleway, which has good lane verges. #WildflowerHour #BSBI #botany #ParasiticPlants #KentWildlife
