That's a very determined and acrobatic dog you have!

Eeek! Sounds like good team work in managing a fraught situation, and in the dark too! Congratulations to the crew. Here's to a peaceful day to allow you all to recover!
What birds have you heard or seen from your bedroom window and have they lifted your spirits? #chronicillness #birdingfrombed
Orange sunrise with grey clouds over and island, taken in a calm bay with the sky reflecting in the water.

The NHS can improve, we have nothing to gain from US system, we should reject US interference in the UK.

Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
A couple standing on a bridge (left), watching a white bird on a river ( just below middle right), with trees and fresh greenery in the background.
A mindful birding moment with the parents yesterday. There's always time to stop and watch a Little Egret on the river (and to appreciate Mum's homemade jumper!).
Photo d'une femelle grillon vue de dessus, Γ la sortie de son terrier. On voit bien son ovipositeur. Des brins d'herbe entoure le petit coin de terre oΓΉ elle est.

Before I had ME I used to go help out at a Toad Patrol. Before that I'd only ever seen half a dozen in my life. They are wonderful creatures. I wish you many more toads in your future!
Thanks. I think I just need to go get a cuppa, and do a planting plan for a flower bed, or something positive!
Amphibians rule! βΊοΈ
Yes, me too! We also have a Fleecy Jumping Spider living in the porch. I saw her yesterday, smaller than the Zebra one. I'm hoping she'll hang around until I can wield the camera again. It's very pleasing to cohabit with such engaging creatures. βΊοΈ
Yes, absolutely and we continue to reap the consequences of that. There is progress, but it's so slow, and such small steps, that I really don't think I'll see benefit in my lifetime (just into my 50s). But I do have hope that the damage will be undone for future sufferers.
She's the epitomy of "you do you" then!
I will also keep my fingers crossed she and her offspring evade the felines.
Feeling a bit sorry for myself, missing out on getting pictures of the garden coming to life, as my very slow recovery continues.
So I'm indulging in a repost of one of my favourite π· of the last 6mths (not that there have been many).
I'll get over it, & maybe go sit in the sun for a bit today. βοΈ
My observation of the health service is that it's good at dealing with the acute issues, where there's a structured process to follow, but any chronic issues which require more investigation and analysis are less well served. I hope you find the support you need, and a way forward with it. π«
π± Has she not read the manual on where they're supposed to nest?!
We've just published a short, easy-to-follow guide to growing 14 different vegetables. Ideal for anyone new to vegetable growing, school gardening groups, etc. Printable PDF available for a small donation (which helps keep Little Green Space going!)

Good to find a nesting aggregation of Ashy Mining Bees, Andrena cineraria, in Great Melton churchyard.

Today got off to a good start with my first Kentish Glory of the year in the garden! #teammoth
A Hoverfly on a bright blue Cornflower flower with a green background.
Two bright blue Borage flowers with a green background.
A mixture of Cornflower flowers, (Cornflower Polka Dot Mixed), in blues, purples and pinks with a green grassy background.
A Bumblebee feeding off pale purple Phacelia flowers with green Phacelia ferny leaves and the odd perennial Cornflower with their leaves.
Seems we've gone back into winter for a couple of days so I'm delaying sowing my annuals until next week, ( I usually sow them quite late here in Scotland anyway).
Here's some blue and purples I'll be sowing ππ

Fully stopped reading at "it's not Yemen," but even if I accepted that it's worse to ethnically cleanse people if they're Christian (ethnic cleansing is always bad, actually!) Lebanon... is not a Christian-led country. Lebanon is doing an elaborate frantic tightrope of religious political division.
I co-sponsored this bill which aims to give chalk streams UNESCO world heritage status. These important habitats, 85% of which are in the UK, are at risk of drying out. Letβs protect the homes of plants, fish and aquatic mammalsπ±π π¦¦

Our lawn is on clay, and we used to have big aggregations of Tawny, Ivy, and a few Ashy, mining bees. So they're not adverse to a bit of moisture. I guess it depends how boggy it is. Ivy bees definitely prefer bare patches, so maybe Brigit's idea would help.
