"Hard to believe I get to spend so much time with these incredible beings. On this day, they were especially magical, so much so that even nature seemed to get a little jealous and painted a rainbow across the sky to join the moment."

GOP as cancer.
“A cancer is a cellular renegade that has rebelled against the polity of the body & can be regarded as a parasite pursuing its own interests in conflict with the host. But a cancer’s success can never be more than short-term, because the host’s death means its death too.”

Striking. After Texas banned abortion, ER visits for early miscarriage rose 25% and blood transfusions surged 54%.

Doctors delayed care like D&Cs out of fear of prosecution. More women nearly bled to death. buff.ly/egXhmm7

My husband, Rob, is away visiting his uncle in Herefordshire. They'd just finished watching the Rugby when this beautiful young Sparrow Hawk flew in through the open front door, and into the living room. Rob managed to pick him up and take him outside again... but just look at those eyes! #birds

It's not often i manage to capture more than one Kingfisher in the same photo, so here's my #StunDay capture for this lovely warm Sunday morning with 2 of them on the same reed at Rodley Nature Reserve.

A female Tropical Royal Flycatcher showing a bit of her crest for me today. After they catch a butterfly, they spend some time preening and they will often display a bit when they're floofing their feathers.

I don’t mean to alarm anyone but I think I did a bird watching today? Like I saw a bird and I was like “Ooh I think that’s an Oriole” and I googled it and it WAS an Oriole and then I just sat there and watched it for a while until it flew away and honestly 10/10 no notes at all

Academic freedom in the United States has found itself periodically under siege, but the current attacks from the federal government raise a new level of alarm. nyer.cm/u405qvQ

Another great corvid, the Green Jay. This is the Colombian version of the bird (Inca subspecies), that I photographed at La Minga Ecolodge near Cali. Such characters!
