I’ve finished spinning this years flax! The result is this 2-ply yarn with 28/2 thickness (lighter thread is a modern 28/2 for reference). It’s 500 meters (nearly 501 m) and weights 70 g.

Before retting, the flax seeds must be separated from the stems. I built my own simple tool (a *very* humble copy of an original ”frörepa”) wich works rather well.

The regency dress:
After some weight loss I was happy to have some leftover fabric, enough for a new bodice. I’ve handsewn everything and the material is 100% silk.
Now I can live my Pride & Prejudice dream again 🥰

The regency corset: I worked on it for two years, managed to wear it twice, then lost a LOT of weight and it got too big. So now I’ve taken it in and fixed the shape a bit. Now it’s ready to be used again. Every stitch is handsewn.
