This is a fast flying rooster pheasant not wasting any time leaving the area! The best way I've found so far to get close to them is in a car! It can be a very challenging sport and when you capture a pretty clear image this way, it's a happy moment! πͺΆππ§ββοΈπ€

Red Deer Stag, set against a colourful rainbow after heavy showers had passed through the Cheshire gap. I had to be quick on my toes to catch a Stag infront of this rainbow, as they kept changing direction. I had wanted this shot for ages #mammals #ukwildlife #nature #wildlife #rainbow #photography

A baby alligator, its eyes half closed, sitting on his mother's head (mama has her eyes completely closed). The baby has a snail crawling on its nose.
I am reposting my photo of the ferocious baby gator sitting on his mother's head, with a snail on the nose, because I know I am not the only one needing to see something like this today.
I took this photo a few years ago in Brazos Bend State Park, Texas.

Pink grapefruits growing in my tree.
To my surprise, I see that along with our oranges, we'll also have grapefruits this season.π

A hot pink rose, half open, revealing a double centred, with petals whirling in opposite directions
Hey check out this unusual double centred rose I found in the garden. Interesting how it whirls in opposite directions.
A Tricolored Heron perched on a branch and surrounded by greenery. The heron has its neck tucked into a reverse S-shape, the head and neck a vibrant blue-gray transitioning to a subtle purple-gray lower on the body. Its belly and the sides of its wings show through as white and it has some white showing at the front of its long neck as well. The very long bill is light blue starting at the heron's brown eye and gradually turns to gray at the tip. There are several white feathers emerging at the back of the head indicating that the bird is in its breeding plumage. The overall look is elegant and stately.

its truly abhorrent to me that ANY amount of coral is allowed to be accidentally caught by bottom trawling. 15kg allowed? make it 0kg and BAN BOTTOM TRAWLING! this is a disgrace! :(
We need to ban bottom trawling. We cannot allow destructive practices to ravage our marine ecosystems. Itβs time to take action and protect our irreplaceable ocean and restore the mauri of the moana #ProtectOurOceans www.1news.co.nz/2024/11/01/f...
A small fuzzy spider with two large front facing eyes. He has a white over orange stripe of fur across his face. The spider is standing on a golden colored fall leaf.
Tan Jumping Spider that's been living in my house. I was able to catch him today and take him outside. He immediately grabbed a drink of water, chased after an ant, noped that decision, and then shuffled off somewhere. Safe travels, wee one.
