It’s also weird that this month marks the 250th anniversary of the first shots of the American Revolution- a conflict largely caused by tarrifs (and aggravated by a dispute over the Canadian border)

I got this: 😆
That’s a phone photo?!!! Wow.
Disquieting, in that way when what you take as quiet, peaceful, suddenly speaks truth to power. #quakers #peace
So is trickster really trickster or is it the hat that’s the trickster that is manipulating the person? #TheOneRing had that kind of meddling behaviour, as I recall. #trickster #FolkyFriday #psychology
What do you find of yourself within the #WildWood ? When #silence descends and you are absorbed into the quiet? Who is there?
#StandingStoneSaturday I went off all social media for a while for all kinds of healthy reasons, so I hadn’t shared equinox pictures of my dawn moment at the #BronzeAge burial circle behind my house. Numb fingered, I drummed slowly to the dawn, a rhythm I’d only minutes before dreamt #archaeotherapy
Breathe it in! How beautiful. Enjoy. Thanks for all you do. Such important work. 🙏🏽
That’s so early! They flower at around my mother’s birthday in mid May but it’s been getting earlier recently.
I am giving an online, autoethnographic talk to Harvard school of divinity about if a sense of the divine can be found at challenged, human-impacted landscapes. 20 min paper sometime on the 2-5pm slot on April 25th online. Do come along! harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...
Will you come to North Cumbria? Pop into Hallbankgate Hub when you pass!
The pool at #Powfoot on the #Solway coast, constructed at the end of the Victorian era, locals used it for bathing. Powfoot was partially developed as a resort but was never completed. The pool isn’t maintained, but during the summer kids still paddle. And a heron hunts trapped fish.
The sun hovers just above the tree line in a blue sky over a grassy path with bare trees silhouetted above
Take a moment to look at the sky or a tree or a bird if you need a break. Hang in there.
I’m saying this to myself as much as to all of you.

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.
🌳The Crowhurst Yew, thought to be 4,000 years old, predates Christianity itself. A living portal through time. 🕰️It’s one of the locations in my Ultimate Guide to Time Travel: 10 Places That Confound the Time Continuum.

Scale armour from the Roman Fort at Carlisle (Luguvalium). The armour fragment was found in a building which used as a workshop; now part of the collections at Tullie House Museum in Carlisle. 📸 My own. #RomanFortThursday #RomanBritain #Archaeology
Lunchtime read: 'I’d like to leave another word for this place: a Gaelic word, caol áit—a thin place—where the membrane between heaven and earth is so thin that you could almost touch it.' 🔗 www.digest.andymarshall.co/loci-10/
#standingstonesunday a random stone in a forgotten field somewhere in north Cumbria. It’s not got a name, not a tale to tell. Yet it’s there, silently standing, under Orion’s Belt. #cumbria #obodsky #neolithic #archaeotherapy
He looks thrilled to be there.
Mine would be ‘stinks everyone away’, ‘don’t put your face too near’ and ‘follows annoyingly close all the time’

#standingstone at Broomrigg Neolithic complex. A stunning azure sky, silence but for flocks of fieldfares. Calm amongst the trees and the ancestors, balm for a frazzled soul #archaeotherapy #neolithic #cumbria #heritage #ecotherapy
