Agree! It is quite a difficult sell when we want to be “aggressive.” Alternatively, IV abx won’t do the job any better than oral if the vascular supply is compromised. IV does not treat arterial insufficiency…. #IDSky

We try to get clean tissue and not swabs. My approach is to treat what is left. I also consider what is most likely to be pathogenic in that situation given virulence factors.
