We found maize domestication reduced leaf microbiome diversity and shifted communities from a highly regulated and stringent state in Balsas teosinte to an unregulated and stochastic state in maize, showing patterns consistent with microbial dysbiosis.

We characterized a potentially novel Paenibacillus species from cotton tissue culture and sequenced its whole genome, revealing genomic separation and metabolites indicating strong plant-growth-promoting potential.
