My main antagonist is a carnivore (the rarer the better) and is more interested in biting into my mcs than a campfire snack.
Az would never share food with an enemy, especially when food is in short supply, but the man she's using as monster bait doesn't seem to mind cooking for her😄

It's all about convincing myself that I'm making progress on two things at once (I write a lot so I have a backlog of content I can watch and endless research I can do).
Anything in audio/video format is perfect for this. Highly recommend finding creators/topics you like and having a playlist ready
Yeah, if a book grips me, I do the same😅 It's not perfect.
But basically whatever physicality the chore requires, I'll pick a distraction that engages a different sense.
Lately I've been listening to query letter feedback while I do dishes/dye my hair or something, so in a sense I'm also studying
I've been getting myself through cardio by making it my reading time (keeps my mind from asking how long it's been). Or I'll listen to a podcast/something that feels relevant.
Usually if I can make a chore tick two boxes at once I can trick myself into feeling that it's worth the time/effort

My ancient (and blind) dog got too close to the stairs so I told him to stay, and of course that startled Gemini, whose opinion I did not ask for--but at least I know my phone isn't gonna get up and leave me any time soon 😅
