Six Russian White-fronted Geese on my local patch today. Originally found on the Little Stoke side of the Thames by Paul Rainsden, and later relocated by Ian Lewington on the Cholsey side of the Thames.

I feared these little lovelies may have moved off patch after so much disturbance over the last week of cutting the willows right back, clearing the ditches, heavy machinery, bonfires etc. How happy was I this morning to see this.

A quick visit to Henley Road GPs to have a look at the magnificent male Smew that Ben Sheldon found yesterday along with the redhead. Although distant, and hidden for most of my time they were an absolute pleasure to see.
